Naxos Greek Islands Cyclades Greece

Naxos or Axia is the largest island of the Cyclades and is located precisely in the centre of the Aegean, between the islands of Mykonos, Donousa, Amorgos, Ios and Paros.

From its ancient past are: the famous Portara, the entrance of a majestic temple of Dilos Apollo that remained semi-finished and the marble, Kouros, that was found in the marble quarry near the village of Apollo.

There many beautiful beaches, such as the immense sandy beach of Agia Anna, Panormos, Psili Ammos, as well as enchanting traditional settlements such as the mountainous Aperacos and Koronos with marvellous houses in narrow alleys with elaborate arches and Venetian towers.

Naxos is renowned for its dairy produce.
