Church of Christ
Ekklisia tou Hristou (Church of Christ) is the island's oldest church, built in the 16th century. It is located inside the medieval castle and is a fine sample of Byzantine architecture, with a lovely chancel screen.
Panagia Odigitria
Panagia Odigitria is the island's metropolitan temple. It was built to replace the old metropolitan temple which was abandoned after the late 19th century.
Many icons of the old church were transferred to Panagia Odigitria and many significant icons of the 17th and 18th century have been incorporated in the chancel screen. It is also worth noticing the wooden epitaph which was adorned by a monk from Sifnos in 1827.
