AGATHONISI > OVERVIEW
Agathonisi belongs to the Prefecture of the Dodecanese and is the most northern island in the group. The island is located between Samos and Patmos and has about 200 permanent residents.
It is an island of natural beauty with three picturesque settlements: Agios Georgios which is also its harbour, Megalo and Mikro Village. Megalo Village is the capital of the island and the oldest settlement. The majority of the island's residents live here.
The golden sandy beaches and the crystal waters at Agios Georgios, Poros, Vathi Pigadi and Tsagkaris impress visitors to the island.
An ideal destination for those looking for peaceful breaks far from the larger tourist resorts.
