PAROS > OVERVIEW

The island of Paros covers an area of 195 km ² with a population of 12,853 residents. It is located between Naxos and Antiparos. It is one of the best loved tourist destinations in the Cyclades and has maintained its local traditions.

The Neolithic settlement in Saliagko, the early Cycladic in Paroikia, the Mycenaean citadel near Naoussa, the temple of Athina, the Dilion and the Asklipieio are some of the monuments that testify to the illustrious cultures that blossomed on the island.

There are many beautiful beaches that attract visitors to the island. The well known Kolympithres on the cape of Naoussa, Agios Anargyri, Xifaras, the exotic beaches of Santa Maria and Alyki, Chrisi Ammos, Lolantonis, Glyfa and Faragga, Delfini, Parasporos, Krios, Martselo, Agios Fokas are some of the sandy paradises on the island.
