ANAFI > OVERVIEW

Anafi is one of prettiest of the Cycladic Islands. It maintains it natural beauty and all 300 inhabitants are to be found in the one and only settlement on the island, known as Chora. The capital is overlooked by an imposing castle from the Venetian Era. In the centre of the island, on the mountain Kastelos (460m high) with the steep slopes you come across the monastery of Panagia Kalamiotissa.

Although it is a small island, Anafi has many beautiful sandy beaches with deep blue water such as Agios Nikolaos (St. Nicholas), Mikros and Megalos Roukounas (Small and Big Roukounas), Megas Potamos (the Grand River), Agii Anargyri , Klisidi and Katsouni.

It is a friendly, quiet island and makes an excellent destination for those looking for relaxing holidays, a clean natural environment and a simple way of life set by the friendly locals.
